The blog: This blog addresses issues surrounding the field of what is commonly called “environmental architecture” or the architecture of our environment under a climate of change. Something between a personal manifesto and a bookmark collection, it aims at functioning as an interactive learning tool for me and possible readers. The main objective underlying its creation is to explore the highly interscientific field of Environmental Studies. An attempt is made to identify the emergent themes and ideas towards a reevaluation of the relationship between humans and nature and their interpretation into architectural design.

The author: Holding a Diploma in Architecture and an MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering, I am currently doing a PhD on energy efficient retrofit measures focusing on passive cooling techniques in existing building shells in urban environments, assessing the combined effect of climate change and urban heat island.
